Chilton occurs as village around County Durham, in England. These are placed two or three miles to the east of Bishop Auckland, and the short few feet away south of Ferryhill, on the A167. A bypass on the A167 opened on the 20 June 2005 cutting the traffic down by as much as 80% across Chilton.
